Surrey United Basketball will take on the Worcester Wolves at Surrey Sports Park this Saturday (28th, 7pm tip off) as they look to shake up the League in their BBL debut.

The brand new Surrey franchise will be aiming to impress the Guildford crowd this weekend as they look to get their first ever BBL season going with a competitive performance against an experienced Wolves side.

United Coach Jack Majewski has been busy preparing for the season opener over the last few weeks, signing a number of key players including GB under-20 star Elvisi Dusha, off guards Andy Tamayo and Ignas Šijanas and US duo Kevin Fleming and George Williams.

Surrey faced a strong Cheshire Phoenix side last Sunday at Surrey Sports Park in a pre-season friendly, losing by just 15 points (63-79) after a phyiscal battle against the well-formed Phoenix outfit, and without the arrival of the American imports. Encouraging performances from the new signings filled many fans with confidence ahead of the season opener while giving Coach Majewski plenty to work on this week.

Tickets are still available for this Saturday’s BBL opener against Worcester Wolves, with buy one get one free tickets available for adults and kids getting in for just £1! Tickets can be purchased at www.surreyunited.co.uk or by calling the Surrey Sports Park Ticket Office on 01483 689111
