A series of new Triathlon Performance Training Camps are launching at Surrey Sports Park, a multi-million pound sports and training venue in Guildford.

Starting in October 2013 with an off-season preparation residential weekend, the camps aim to provide scientific support to educate athletes and enable them to target their training specifically through testing provided by Surrey Sports Park Health and Performance team.

The camps will focus on bespoke training zone prescriptions for swimming, cycling and running, training and competition nutrition, strength and conditioning, and injury prevention.

Around training and testing there will be seminars from experts and guest speakers on a variety of training techniques and tips on how to get the most out of your training.

Clients will undergo maximal performance tests in swimming, cycling and running, body composition, strength and conditioning training with a UKSCA certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, performance nutrition plans from a sport and exercise dietician, cycling efficiency and running economy.

Attendees will go away with a bespoke 12 week training programme based on the outcomes of the weekends testing. This camp is ideal for triathletes that are pushing towards the elite category and wish to identify their bespoke training zones.
Applicants will get to train, test, eat and sleep at Surrey Sports Park, host to a number of international triathlon athletes including USA, Mexico, Costa Rica and Ecuador. Accommodation and breakfast will be provided at the partner hotel, The Holiday Inn, which is situated within walking distance of the Sports Park.

The cost of the camp is £295 (early birds) and £350 (after 15th September). The first camp will take place on 11th-13th October, with further camps happening in January and April.
